PowerFix Repair App – Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the PowerFix Repair App (“App”). By booking or availing of any repair service through our App, you (“Customer” or “You”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read carefully before proceeding.
1. Service Authorization
1.1 By booking through the App, you authorize PowerFix technicians and authorized tech partners to perform diagnostics, repairs, and part replacements on your device.
1.2 By authorizing PowerFix to perform repairs, you acknowledge that services are limited to part repair or replacement only. PowerFix does not provide unit replacement under any circumstance.
1.3 You agree to pay the total service cost, including additional charges for hidden defects or necessary parts not initially included in the estimate.
1.4 Estimates may vary if hidden defects are discovered during repair.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Warranty applies only to the specific repair performed by PowerFix technicians and authorized tech partners and does not cover unrelated or new issues.
2.2 Warranty duration:
- LCD Replacement – 7 days
- Battery Replacement – 1 month
- Hardware Repairs – 15 days
2.3 Warranty is void if:
- The device shows signs of physical damage (cracks, scratches, dents, bloated battery, etc.).
- Warranty stickers are removed, tampered, or lost.
- The unit is opened or serviced by another technician outside of PowerFix.
- Damage results from misuse, accidents, or external factors.
2.4 All general repair services are guaranteed for 30 days, subject to warranty terms above.
3. Repair Disclaimer
3.1 Not all repairs are 100% guaranteed. Certain issues may be beyond repair (e.g., severe motherboard damage, liquid exposure, prior poor repairs, rare/unavailable parts).
3.2 Risks may arise during repair, such as:
- Cracked glass due to strong adhesives
- Internal flex/cable tears from corrosion
- Frame bending or pressure point issues
- Pre-existing problems worsening
- Failure or malfunction of sensitive features (e.g., Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint sensors, biometric components) during screen or housing-related repairs. These are not covered under warranty if they fail or stop functioning.
3.3 Customers acknowledge these risks and that PowerFix will not be liable for damages arising from pre-existing or uncontrollable conditions.
4. Service Charge Policy
4.1 A service charge of 10–20% of the estimated repair cost or diagnostic fee applies if:
- The customer declines the repair after diagnostics have been performed.
- The technician identifies additional issues beyond the initial concern, and the customer chooses not to proceed.
4.2 This charge covers scheduling, preparation, technician time, and diagnostic efforts.
5. Payment & Refund Policy
5.1 All payments are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed, as parts, schedules, and technician time are immediately allocated.
5.2 In hardware repairs (e.g., motherboard, water damage, IC issues):
- If the issue recurs within warranty, PowerFix technicians and authorized tech partners will reattempt repair at no extra cost.
- If repair is no longer possible, 50% of the original service fee will be refunded. The remaining 50% covers technician effort, parts used, and logistics.
5.3 No full refunds will be granted once service is performed.
5.4 No refunds will be issued if the device is returned with new, unrelated issues.
6. Price Confirmation
6.1 Prices shown in the App are estimates. The final price will be confirmed by the technician/shop before work begins.
6.2 Customers may ask questions or cancel prior to confirmation if the price is not acceptable.
7. Shipping & Logistics Policy
7.1 For water-damaged devices, advanced hardware issues, or cases requiring specialized equipment, repairs must be performed at designated shops.
7.2 Any shipping, delivery, or pick-up fees shall be shouldered by the customer.
8. Device Claim & Abandonment
8.1 Customers must claim their repaired units within 45 days.
8.2 Failure to do so constitutes abandonment, and PowerFix reserves the right to dispose of the device without liability.
8.3 PowerFix assumes no responsibility for loss or damage caused by fire, theft, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.
9. Liability & Limitations
9.1 PowerFix is not liable for:
- Data loss during repair (customers are advised to back up their data before service).
- Damages arising from pre-existing conditions or manufacturer defects.
- Issues outside the scope of the requested repair.
- Any indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to data loss, diminished device functionality (e.g., waterproofing, biometric sensors), or the customer’s expectation of full unit replacement.
10. Customer Acknowledgment
By using the App and availing PowerFix services, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
- You authorize PowerFix technicians and authorized tech partners to perform necessary diagnostics and repairs on your device.
- You accept the risks and limitations inherent in electronic device repairs.
11. Changes to Terms
PowerFix reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes via the App.
